Slowly

My grandma taught me a bunch of things, including embroidery.

I used my embroidery skills when pregnant to prepare some bed linens, pillows and towels.

Then I stopped. For 20 years or more, few of them were wrapped inside a plastic bag and traveling from Brazil to the US, then from house to house.

Last year I decided to give a try. The result has been a surprise.

Small projects became bigger. One color opened the doors to multiple colors.

There wasn’t right or wrong. Just imagination, creativity, ideas.

Today I finished one more project. Took almost one year. Part of it is the fact that I couldn’t find ways to work on it during the warmer days.

Time and patience.

I got stuck. Re-started. Tried again.

Amazing what can happens when we respect our limits.

I am proud. My new pillow is ready!
