Friendship

I was walking, in one of these days where my head was just too fast which showed on my erratic route all over the place instead of following a path.

It was a beautiful afternoon and I was able to cross the gate before they closed the admissions so I got to see the dahlias again.

Suddenly I came across with this one and the two bumblebees there.

They were just enjoying their time. I respected the distance and stopped to watch them.

It was like a chitchat between friends.

No rush, looking at each other, savoring pólen, smelling the flower.

Made me think about friendship and how we don’t take advantage of the time we have with friends as we could.

Very little impromptu meetings.

Meals are rushed by waiters who need to serve the next table.

The phone that won’t stop reminding you about a weird world out there.

Next time I want to be like these bumblebees: just take time to really enjoy my friends. Sometimes, even without talking. Just being there.

If we could only stop to smell the flowers.
